Hi all:
I opened my accounts this morning and all that is displayed are the top
levels. (There are no offsets being displayed). How to fix? I am
using Linux Mint 21.0 and the source of Gnucash is flatpak. I have
closed and reopened the accounts without any change.

Can you post a screen shot.
When you say "no offsets", I'm not fully clear... do you mean no
"children" in the "accounts-tree-view" ?

Hi Folks
I have moved to GNU Cash from Quicken (about 1987 version plus Milenium
option) so have a rather 'messy' set of accounts that reflect my
differeing needs over the years.
I now wish to do some sonsolidation. For example I am in the silly
poition of having three acounts for interes
back up your file before you do the following
1. make sure interest earned account is not a place holder (edit account
will give you the details)
2. Delete the sub account, the pop-up will ask to which account you want to
transfer.
3. Choose Interest Earned as your receipient account.
New subject line to avoid hijacking the thread.
The default view, when I copy the GnuCash file to a new computer, seems
to be to show only the top-level accounts. Of course I can mouse to each
triangle and click it to open the immediate children, but with three
levels of accounts that's tedious.

The following is what happened.
Running Win 10 this has not changed see attached for PC / Win details.
Running previous Gnucash 4.xx latest version and quotes were working fine.
