Well done! :-)
Maybe HMRC can be persuaded that open source devs aren't responsible for
misuse and be more lenient than with proprietary apps.

I suppose that depends on where you live Edward. Many of us don't have to
deal with MTD.

Of the 6, I have to confess that I read it too hastily and I don't have to
do VAT, so the VAT bridge won't be of interest to me.
But crikey, if you can't use GnuCash for MTD, it's not much use anymore, is
it?

But the CSV export already exists. See the "Income and GST Statement"

I have a few questions regarding the 'integration' though.
How exactly do you see this happen ?

That would be of interest to me.
Chris,
As someone sitting across the pond from you... I think there is definitely
interest in MTD in GnuCash. The issue, I think, is going to be the GPL
nature of anything you would contribute to GnuCash, and the challenge of
obtaining the API key for said GPLed code. Having said that, I suspect
Hi Mark,
This is a bit of Java code that takes a csv input and then submits to HMRC
and has been approved for production for over a year. I have been impressed
with GnuCash and surprised that it does not have a MTD VAT submission
option. It will require a bit of work to integrate with GnuCash and

Hi
Hi,
Is anyone interest in having a MTD bridge for GnuCash for VAT submissions? I
have developed a bridge and would be happy to integrate it with GnuCash if
there is still any interest.
Kind regards,
Chris
