api key - Edit >> Preferences >> online quotes since the following is the
result I get if I remove mine :-)
You need to go to https://alphavantage.co/support/#api-key and register for
a free account to get an api key then upd

In moving to a newer Linux and Gnucash,
I forgot to set the Alphavantage key.

to do, eg run gnc-fq-update. In the gnucash bin directory I see a file with
that name, but how on earth do I run it? It appears to just be a text

Try running C:\Program Files (x86)\gnucash\bin\gnc-fq-update, I seem to
recall that fixed it for me on Windows when I initially went to version 5.0.

Have you considered using a Google spreadsheet along with:

It lets you get the prices on a range of dates.

I figured it was just a F::Q or Alphavantage problem. And indeed, it
