It’s no biggie changing the date and many programs default on the.current date
or the last entered. It’s fine with me if you just leave it alone. Besides,
unless I’m mistaken, when I pull in a QFX, the system uses the date it cleared
the bank, not the date entered or written.

Ouch. What about copying your date onto each line first? Sounds like
it needs major manipulation. I hope someone with experience can help
you.

I have not used Libre Office much but it is very similar to Excel. Excel
allows me to choose my entire spreadsheet and then sort it in any order -
and on any column I wish. I'd guess Libre Office has that ability.

Adrien, what is a dmg? People on this list use a lot of acronyms and I get
lost.
Thanks

Kalpesh, I found that QFX works as well.

Steve, I’ve kept a copy of Microsoft Money that holds my data going back
that far. Anytime I need it, I can find my old records there. I started
anew with GnuCash in 2022. Might that work for you?

Ornithology, sounds like you are starting fresh. If you’ve used Gnucash for
years you probably forgot you have to create or choose a chart of accounts as a
starting point. The help files are great for guiding you through the process.

I'm looking at paypal as identical to venmo. If I do not pull payments out
immediately, venmo will use the balance to pay anyone I owe.
That said, I continue to use venmo as a method of payment or cost in the
checking account which pays the bills. I see no reason to treat paypal
differently.
