Chris,
Geert is right, at least for now, both because of the OpenSP failure and
because the latest MSYS2 updates require a new webkit build and I haven't yet
done the 64-bit one.
You can't just run the 32-bit build, though, because you've installed the

Hi Chris,
I don't think we support building a 64bit version on Windows.
Can you run your commands in the 32bit mingw64 shell (MSys2 64bit/MSys2 MinGW
32-bit)
to at least avoid any additional bugs due to the different environment ?
Note the name is confusing. MingW64 is the name of the project

Hi All,
I installed Gnucash 4.9 on my Windows 10 machine (was 4.4) and the
Preferences for Accounting Period start-date and end-date were lost.
They have gone back to the default 1/1/1970.
Looking in the registry I can see they have been migrated (moved) from

Anyway, on Fedora you need to install the python-test package.
I have also created a bugreport[1] against gnucash for this. It should check
for the presence

open(including backports, universe etc.). Gnucash installs like a breeze in
Ubuntu Fiesty,7.04(saying that by experience). You might want to change the
source server in case you are having problems with downloading the
The installable version of Gnucash in Ubuntu 7.0.4 comes with version 2.0.2. I
will install it again and confirm to you. I would love to supply a patch for
the report, but I do not know Java. I am an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
Thank you,
Gopi.

Hi,
You didn't mention what OS/Distro you're using.
You also didn't mention what build commands you used.
The lack of "g-wrapped gw-gnc" seems to imply that src/gnome
didn't build, or isn't in the load-path. I find it odd in many
ways, but without more knowledge about your particular system

I may be missing something obvious but I have been looking through this
site and the SourceForge sites trying to find a step by step instruction
on how to install Gnucash, instructions for someone who has never seen
or dealt with tar, bz2 and gz file types.
Thanks
