By comparison with linux/dselect, FINK does not
upgrade just as often. This results into dead end
situations like the one you described, which occur, I
now realise, not only for gnucash but also for the
other packages. We are, of course, talking about

I've been writing programs in perl for about a
decade... I had no clue that gnucash used perl
modules. It's fantastic! The website says that its
code is C+SCHEME, but no mention to perl!

I can see it now. A new column appears on the right
side, however, its values are null. I think gnucash
should download the conversion rates automatically,
but it does not. I added the currencies in the Price

Yes, I did it. However, hiding wrong numbers does not
really solve the problem

The last time I checked, Quicken was USD only.

Quicken seems oriented to the management of the income

Guillaume, I observe that gnucash's website includes
binaries for all sorts of linux distributions, but
does not include the binary for osx. Why is that?

Installing gnucash via DarwinPorts requires space and
time for compiling the source code of all the required
libraries. True, the process is guided and automatic,
but I just cannot afford re-building the world of
linux under osx just to run gnucash under X11+GTK.

This means that we *users*, at large, are unable to

Derek,
the reason for my plea is, that I'm having serious
problems running the latest version on osx. You do not
provide a binary in the website, compiling from source
is sado-maso-exercise, and the fink project is still
using gtk version 1. Do you think you can add a binary
