I just committed a patch in gnome-power-manager so that the strings are
easier to translate. I know that this also adds some markup inside
strings, but I think this is unavoidable in these cases in a L10N point
of view.

The i18n process of Damned-Lies is functional again. But it cannot use
the standard intltool (some translatable content is in the database), so
you should pick the po files in damned-lies itself and then commit in
the SVN (there is a README explaining that in the /po dir).
