It's o.k. - it's a general architecture question, so the list at least isn't
the wrong place :-).

Okidoke: demos/demo gives me a short line of three dashes on the
screen, then it segfaults with the missing symbol as you said.
xmitest segfaults immediately with a missing symbol.

Firstly, Plan 9 isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread*.
Plan 9 has a number of clever ideas and an unpleasant license (blame the
corporate lawyers).
Some of the clever ideas are:
- everything is a file, pushed this much further than Unix
- per process name space, mount points are per pr

Though I'll agree with the idea that SourceForge sound like a good
idea. Don't they also allow you to use a registered domain named instead
of/in additio
Hmmm... This is a followup to my own last mail... (sorry)
In fact, I observe the same behavior as Andrew Apted - but after libxmi
has been INSTALLED (w/ make install).
Without the 'install' there is no segfault, but no pixels drawn.
After the install, there are pixels, but also the segfault.
R.
I've just noticed that I have strange display problems with the OpenAmulet
test programs when running in 8bpp. (CrossBlit behaves strangely it
seems.)
I usually run X in 16bpp so I did not notice earlier. I'm currently trying
32bpp... :-) ... it runs well also.
Well, it seems these problems occu

I am a bit sad to hear this, as you did in deed a very good job on it.
I'd like to
