Hmmm... This is a followup to my own last mail... (sorry)

In fact, I observe the same behavior as Andrew Apted - but after libxmi
has been INSTALLED (w/ make install).

Without the 'install' there is no segfault, but no pixels drawn.
After the install, there are pixels, but also the segfault.
