Mysql problems. This is a fairly
common problem in my experience. The simplest solution is:
sudo mkdid -p /home/mysql
sudo chown -R mysql: /home/mysql
vi /etc/mysql/my.cnf and change to tmpdir = /home/mysql/
sudo /etc/init.d/mysql restart
Yes, tmpdir is *not* a dynamic variable so you will have to restart
Mysql to make this change.
