It hurts, but my sense is that the above is right. IMHO the

This is annoying. It forces me to keep my firefox presentation
in an active viewport. How can I work this around?

Is there a reasonable way of doing this? How?

Hi again,
thank you all for your hints.
root-tail works out of the box, but for flexibility and better formatting
of the output, I'll give the label-in-FvwmButton-approach a shot. Looks
pretty easy going.
Cheers,
Martin

Others might have smarter recommendations though.

I didn't test on CentOS, but did on RHEL-{6,7}. Configuring EPEL [1]
and installing fvwm using yum might be all you need.

Hey guys,
no such issue seen of Fedora 16, 20, 23, and CentOS 7.
Using distribution packages exclusively.

FVWM is unique. I'd love it to survive. Forking and "doing things
right" might be a catharsis for an individual but not necessarily
a real benefit for our VM from both the user- and developer
community pow.

Hello there!
Recently I noticed an issue moving windows using FVWM. The issue
is described in [1] and seems to be HW dependent. However,
successful usage of some other VMs on affected boxes makes me
think that the issue might be on the FVWM side. Ideas? Thoughts?

Why would this be any easier than -say- dividing a single screen into
sections that you can do separate virtual desktop switching on?
Thanks

Does anyone know why my keybindings fail when fvwm is run under xnest?
I simply get an error for each binding that says "no such key".
