Out of curiosity, why?
It's easy enough to apply patch from mailbox, it's much easier to
review patches and comment on them in maillist,
and it's ordinary git workflow we're used to.

Hi Lvqier
I've added few debug traces to the driver,
if you're still not using my repo please switch to it:
$ git clone g...@github.com:anarsoul/libfprint.git
$ cd libfprint
$ git checkout origin/aes2550-v2 -b aes2550-v2 --track
If you're using my repo, just pull changes from remote:
$ git pull
Bastien, I've attached patch to
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50859
Could you please review it?

Hi Sergio,
I'm working on improvement for libfprint enrolling algorithm for
imaging devices;
basic idea is to scan same finger several times during enrollment and
store all scans for later usage.
It dramatically improves match rate on devices with small sensor
(AES1660, Upek 147e:2020, AES1610).

Since you're using fprint_demo, what's quality of image? Could you share
one (with black rectangle in center to prevent disclosing your fingerprint
data would be ok)

This one is licensed under GPL, libfprint is licensed under LGPL, so it's
not legal to use this code for producing libfprint driver without author
permission to relicense code.
Anyway, it's close to impossible to implement a driver without access to
device :)

This one is "short", could you try to perform a longer scan?

make a driver that could scan images like biobpod,

No, you should make a longer scan, not slower, but longer. Try to scan as
much of your finger as you can, see screenshot from
http://anarsoul.blogspot.com/2012/10/fingerprinting-again.html, my scan is
much longer than yours.

No, libfprint can't use external image data.
AFAIR it was intentionally designed like this to prevent vendors from
closing source code of a driver.

Hi Javier,
could you redirect them to fd.o bugzilla?
Anyway, I really doubt that I can do anything without hardware at the hand,
but I can guide someone who's willing to develop
a driver and has vfs451 reader.

Hi Vinícius,
I guess uru4k driver was broken for your device (image looks
encrypted) and last changes to it were made by Timo Teräs.

Hi Piotr,
Please follow "contributing" section in HACKING file or on this wiki
page: http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/fprint/libfprint/
You need to create git-formatted patch and attach it to newly created
bug at freedesktop bugzilla.
I'll try to find some time to take a look on your pat
Hi Nikolay,
Yep, as soon as I get some spare time I'll merge it (not from this
repo, but from fd.o bugzilla). There's a lot of features pending, I'll
try to merge them all before beginning of February.

Hi Pietrek,
Could you produce a patch with "git format-patch", create bug report
on bugzilla and attach it patch to it?
Everything is described in HACKING file in the git repo.
Thanks!

Hi to all fingerprint scanner users,
It's another call for libfprint testing.
Good news to all UPEK 147e:1001 users - I've added support for that
device into upeksonly driver - so it worth testing. It also may work
for 147e:1002 device - just try to add its USB IDs into upeksonly.c
and use UPEKSO
