You should try to add the following YAST repository to your installation
sources:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/STABLE/openSUSE_10.2/
That should enable you to install/upgrade to Evolution 2.10.1.

I am glad somebody started this thread. I had a query few months back
similar to this.
I am using O2 (Windows Mobile) and unable to sync with evolution.
Somebody suggested me a solution but it required good amount of tech
knowledge to make it work.
It would be nice if Evolution offers built-in
I use a Treo 650 with Evolution. It syncs nicely with Evolution 2.10.1.
The only thing that produces a reproducible crash is when syncing notes.
Calendar, memo and contacts work perfectly.
