I do it over USB. I put the Treo 650 into the USB docking station and
push the hotsync button. For syncing, I configured it through Evolution
with "Edit" -> "Synchronization Options". It uses gpilotd.

I use the Treo 650 on OpenSuSE 10.2 with Evolution. I would upgrade to
the 680, but I cannot see a compelling reason...
I am still hoping Palm will produce a new GSM based Treo with PalmOS.
