As others have said, Evolution can cope with many IMAP accounts - I
have 8 on the machine

I had no problems for the last months using Evolution 3.28.5 and
several IMAP accounts simultaneously.

Evolution can work with many IMAP accounts at the same time, so I guess
your problem actually lies on "an account is slow and slows the rest of
the UI" rather than "evolution can only handle one account".

I too prefer that when an email has been opened in a separate window, and I
choose to delete it, that the window close, and focus return to the main
evolution window; and NOT have the next message in the queue open. This is
