I too prefer that when an email has been opened in a separate window, and I choose to delete it, that the window close, and focus return to the main evolution window; and NOT have the next message in the queue open. This is my preferred workflow.
If found the option to enable my preferred behavior in : Edit>Preferences>Mail Preferences. where there is a checkbox to choose " Go to the previous message after message deletion". However, regardless of whether this option is checked or unchecked the previous message is opened when I delete an email that is has been opened in a separate window. I also tired using dconf-editor to set the option. But still the previous message opens. I usually use the preview pane to browse my emails, but sometimes a message is of particular interest and I open it in a separate window so I can get a better look at it, or leave it lurking ion the desktop so I don't forget to deal with it later, or whatever other reasons there are for opening an email in its own window. Then if I choose to delete it I REALLY prefer to go back to the main window with the list of emails and the preview pane. Any suggestions why the option isn't sticking, or things to be done to make it behave in the way it seems to be meant to? -- Sent from: http://gnome-evolution-general.1774414.n4.nabble.com/ _______________________________________________ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
