Not sure how long it's been possible, but the ChargePoint chargers here in
Oregon will let you tap your credit or debit card and charge just as you
described. Have done it myself multiple times.
I don't mind the phone apps myself, but I do agree that making it as easy
as ICE fueling is a gr
On a somewhat related subject, I finally got one of my charging wishes.
Well, actually, Margaret did.
A few weeks ago, she was on a longish solo road trip. We'd been to this
place before and had charged at the town's municipal carpark, so she planned
to park there again and charge.
