Yes ... like me!
*OrgMode* is one of my most used "systems".
Getting *MobileOrg* updated would be great!

Hey Paul,
MobileOrg for iOS maintainer here. The issue you're facing is probably due
to the deprecated v1 Dropbox API. The next MobileOrg release, v1.7, is soon
to be released and will use new Dropbox APIv2. I can confirm from a few
reports from TestFlight test users that it works well.

For about two weeks since getting a new ipad I have not been able to
re-install mobile org. After setting up dropbox I can log in from MobileOrg
but the target directories are not created and they are not use if I create
them manually. This seems to me to be resulting from a change in dropbox.

Hi Matthew, do you mean MobileOrg for iOS or the android application?
There's not hard constraint on org-* version for MobileOrg iOS as it just
uses the built in org-mobile-push, org-mobile-pull commands.

If you're referring to MobileOrg (here:
https://github.com/MobileOrg/mobileorg) I'm the current maintainer and
there is active work underway to release a new version. If it is with
MobileOrg, feel free to open an issue on github.
We'll need a little more info though to help you out.

what is the org- version necessary to use mobile org?
Hi,
I am on iOS 7.06 and using the Orgmode from git repos(commit 381ad4b on Aug
3). I installed the MobileOrg from AppStore and noticed the following
issues. The problems don't seriously hurt the functionality but are a bit
annoying. Any advice on fixing them is appreciated.

I haven't noticed this myself, but could you report
If my link is like: [[http://orgmode.org]] - MobileOrg's view as document
mode doesn't recognize this as a valid link. It only does that if the link
is in [[link][description]] format. Is there any way around this?
Thanks.

I've just tested this and you are right. If I follow the orgmode convention
of http links and use the View in mobile-org, the links are clickable.
But if I cut and paste a link like http://www.something.com in orgmode,
it's not clickable in mobile-org View.
I guess I'll have to follow the orgmode

No links should be clickable, they are for me. For example, with the

Just to note that I can open http links from org-mode on my computer using

Also: would it be possible to define where in gtd.org file the new entries
should go, like some new entries should go under Tasks and some should go

There is an option in
My org file on my computer is gtd.org which has 3 top level headings: *

If I add any entry to mobile org, sync it via dropbox and do a
org-mobile-pull from my computer, the new entries go to a file called

Can you submit a patch for this?
See http://orgmode.org/worg/org-contribute.html on prefered ways
to create a patch.

Hi, I need a little help with mobile-org and webdav. (I need to use webdav
because I live year-round in China, and the last time I tried, dropbox was not
accessible from the mainland. In any case, I prefer to keep the data local.)
I've set up the webdav server following the instructions here:

I would love to hear from anyone using org-mobile with either or both :
* individual crypted entries tagged with "crypt"
* whole org files saved as file.org.gpg (ie entire file encrypted)
I'm using an iPhone (not rooted/jailbroken).

I should have pointed out the causes of the two problems the script
resolves:
ssh tramp at least sometimes preserves gid, and the gid on my org
machine is an allowed gid on the webdav server, so files can end up
with my normal gid instead of www.
when mobileorg.org is rewritten by org (a

I use MobileOrg with webdav, both remote over ssh/tramp, and locally
(two separate setups).
On the ssh one:
(setq org-mobile-directory "/ssh:foo.example.org:/usr/home/gdt/ORG")
(setq org-mobile-inbox-for-pull
(concat org-directory "/from-mobile.org"))
(setq org-mobile-use-encryption t)
