So there are the two separate issues mentioned above in the previous
comment, which have been fixed in their own tickets.
There's also the Qt 5.2 event loop issue that stopped unity-
notifications from responding, which has been addressed outside of this
ticket.

This was added to indictor-datetime as a side-effect of adding Alarm
support for 14.04, because ubuntu-clock-app stores its alarms as EDS
tasks ;)

Actually, since the first two of these three are "Fix Released" in a
separate ticket, and the possible remaining issue (clicking on a
location didn't change the current time for you?) isn't the same as this
ticket's description, I think for bookkeeping it might make more sense
