Michael You don't say what your host platform is. Running on OSX I don't have this problem - I can start up the default "Hello Sailors" project on the Emulator. The error sounds like an SSH problem. Have you tried SSHing to the SDK and Emulator from a terminal / cmd / console?. Chris Z

Yes - we tried hard to get that put into the installer in time but had to settle for a tweet and a note on the homepage that explain you need to uninstall first - and that only went in post-release when we realised people weren't reading https://sailfishos.org/develop.html :D Sorry about that :)
