I appreciate updates and hot-fixes applied to packages on new builds.
Is it possible to send an e-mail to the package maintainer before
updating the package? Or is there some reminder already in place that
does this?

celt from this afternoon broke the build:
DEBUG util.py:247: libcelt0.so.1()(64bit) is needed by
