Hi,
Currently libportal in F41 is at 0.8.1. At the end of the last year
v0.9.0 was built [1] but the build was abandoned for reason which I
don't know.
Does anyone know if there is a reason why libportal should not be
updated to >= 0.9.0 in F41?
I tested locally to build all the packages t

I would be ok of Fedora dropping it when upstream does it, not before!
no matter how much I like bleeding edge, this isn't the way to do it.

So on the one hand, it seems a little petty for Fedora to disable X11
support in gdm before upstream does. It's notably still enabled by
default in upstream GNOME 48 and in git master.
On the other hand, if we're confident upstream is likely going to
remove the X11 support relatively soon, t

Lack of maintainer upstream
As Stephen wrote, the problem is the upstream lack of a maintainer, not in
Fedora.

Wim, would you like to rebuild pipewire-plugin-libcamera there when you
have some time?

Hi,
I'm working with Jonathan on releasing version 2 of the sdbus-cpp
library to Fedora. To do this properly, I planned to create a side
tag, build the updated library and dependent packages which I maintain
there, then notify fedora-devel about the SONAME bump and ask
maintainers of dependent pac

Yes, nobody wanted to maintain it and the current maintainer doesn't want
it either.

An unimportant opinion from a User:
Wayland does not work reliably for me, using what I need to use (nVidia
binary drivers).
I'm feeling forced into something that I don't understand why and am
seriously thinking of just stop using Fedora.
I also understand that the world keeps moving forward and
