Thanks a lot for help out, Ismael. I was wondering why you changed some of
the fix version back to 0.9.1.0 and now I understand.
Thanks,

I also changed the "Fix version" for a number of recent JIRAs from 0.10.0.0
to 0.9.1.0. The reason is that once we rename the JIRA versions (as per
KAFKA-3276), they will all automatically become 0.10.0.0 (without causing a
storm of notifications).

Thank you Becket. I have:
* Updated KIP wiki page so that all KIPs with a target of 0.9.1.0 now
target 0.10.0.0
* Filed https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-3275 to track tasks
that still need to be done. The next step would be to update JIRA versions
as per https://issues.apache.org/jira/b
Thanks everyone for voting.

Hi Grant,
Thanks for bringing up the compatibility and feature discussion.
Ismael had similar concern about the short release interval between 0.9.0.0
and 0.10.0.0.
>From wire protocol perspective, the old clients should still work well with
the brokers in 0.10.0.0. So it is backward compatible.

I agree with Grant on getting KIP-4 into this release if it's possible.
There are a lot of tools which depend on it.

+1 (non-binding) In general I am for this, but wanted to discuss a few
things:
*Compatibility*
Given the (theoretically) short time period between this release and 0.9. I
suggest we make this release as compatible as possible. Especially from the
client perspective. Other open source projects (Sp

Hi All,
We would like to start this voting thread on making next Kafka release
0.10.0.0 instead of 0.9.1.0.
The next Kafka release will have several significant important new
features/changes such as Kafka Stream, Message Format Change, Client
Interceptors and several new consumer API changes, et
