Interesting stuff.
If you are using Apache Flex and want to be in the showcase, please fill
out a JIRA issue under the component "Showcase". Please provide a
screenshot, link, and a preferred description.

We created an application called Flix for managing pre-production for
movies. It recently went commercial through The Foundry. Flex is the ideal
framework for our project. You can check it out in a recent interview:

Hi Swen,
IMO, examples are separate from a showcase. If you want to create
examples of how to do things, having your own blog is great and maybe we
can link to it on our site. We will probably build up a set of examples
for our getting started pages and we will need a new set for FlexJS, but

I'm willing to make examples but I think there should be a list of the examples
we want to have.
Also I don't know how we should show the samples on the website.
I was thinking of making a sort of kinda like blog-thing for my own.. but
making it in the name of Apache Flex and publish it on the w

Hi,
I think from "marketing" as point of view we should take care,
that the "showcase" is directly integrated into the official flex website.
Maybe as an iframe.
So flex gets more revenue, as it is a non direct related website.
And:

It is good idea to showcase, even i have to convince my client for Apache

done for me.

Hi Om,
Sure. Let me try to expand my board a bit and see if it is possible to
share it so that everyone can contribute.
BTW... My bad in typing my previous email. I mean Pinterest board
instead of Pinboard =.=||

Vicker,
That is a fantastic idea. We have been struggling to figure out a way to
start showcasing Apache Flex apps (web, desktop, mobile, etc.) Since you
already are doing something like this for your user group, will you be able
to spearhead this for Apache Flex and help us doing something like
Hi,Just my 2cents, I think simply
making a community contributed Pinboard with Flex web / mobile app
screenshots will attract quite a lot of heat.As a UGM, I also
maintain a list of AIR mobile app Pinboard.CheersVicker

Hi,
we are short before launch of an B2B app for Europe and Africa.
With around 40.000-60.000 users or more.
But I can not say now, if it is possible to "name" the app and the
international company behind.

A good application showcase and some evangelization is required to get FLEX
back to the world, but it is less a MUST since the HTML5 remains a
NIGHTMARE world, heheh!!!

Either way, Avaya, Acatel-Lucent are my current customers and are deploying

We had one on the website, but we had a hard time getting releases from
enough companies to make it worth it. We didn't want to put up a showcase

Miguel,
I do have an B2C AIR application being used by around 6.000 persons.
It's actually compiled with 4.10/AIR 3.8 - we're already taking
advantage of the new lockedColumnCount of Datagrid.
