Now that I can login into Nexus, I am guessing (since there are no instructions.) that I upload the POM to a staging repo first. As the UI tells me "Note that if you only intend to upload a POM file, there is no need to add additional artifacts below, simply click the Upload Artifact(s) button.

I have no philosophical problem with adding to an enum in a later release, its designed to be compatible (don't persist the ordinal). However, I'm unconvinced that an enum is the right solution here.
