All Bugs I had before are gone, at the time i had no critical point,
im very happy with mint 14.
So the problem with freezing should be solved with ubuntu 12.10 too because of

Now I have linux mint 14 with cinnamon 64bit and no problems :)

I'd like to note that I have switched from Xubuntu to Linux Mint XFCE recently
and have *NOT* had a single standby/resume problem since. (This bug is so

@Patrick C
Right, I'm using Mint 16 XFCE which is based on Ubuntu 13.10 AFAIK.
(I don't have much experience with Mint either. I just needed a usable
distribution on my laptop quickly and didn't have time to try much.)

I had the problem of all columns in the past, too. But I don't remember
which version it was. Since then everything was ok but now I have the

if you create a 7zip-archive, you can choose that it's splitted up into
files with a certain size. I just wanted to split a big file into many
100 MB big files but as it turned out it created 100 MiB files. So every
file has 104'857'600 byte instead of the intended 100'00
