After the most recent upgrade (It is now January 15, 2017 at 2:45 EST),
I right-click on the desktop. Then I select the "Create New Folder"
value. When I select the "Rename..." value and then click on the text
box, the monitor display disappears from view, although the keyst

as I remember, the problems started in ubuntu 16.04 with a kernel 4.4.x.
At that time, I tried to go back to a prior kernel version, but that
failed for nvidia video driver reasons.

The only drawback is that I can't inverse the scroll direction with two
fingers anymore. Under Settings > Mouse & Touchpad the checkbox "Natural
Scrolling" is gone. But I'm just glad that I can now use the touchpad at

Philipp, I'm using Cinnamon instead of Gnome and the option is still
present.
Anyway I guess you could try Ubuntu Tweaks to change this property or
simply set the option by editing the configuration file installed with
the package (I think it should be
"/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-libinput.conf"
As the link of comment 3 is no longer available, I searched for e new
workaround. For me deactivating "Apply colours to non-QT applications"
in System settings -> Colour -> Options fixes the issue in KDE plasma
5.7.5. Maybe this should be deactivated by default?
