On Empathy 3.6.4 links on statuses or tooltips are not clickable.
When opening the "Information" menu by right-click it opens the contact
on Gnome Contacts (3.6.2 here). A non-clickable status is displayed
there and it is not even possible

I have this issue too. Like Maxime I used to add the 3stack line to
alsa-base file but that stopped fixing the issue. I did some testing
installing old kernels and the last kernel to have functioning sound was
v3.1.10. v3.2 is when it stopped working.
