I observed the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.10, also on the

I am using kubuntu 24.04. Yesterday I ran a system upgrade, and then
installed libpulse-dev:i386 and rebooted. The GUI failed to start, and
wifi and ethernet devices we undetectable. I ended up doing a fresh
installation of kubuntu 24.04. I installed a large number of packages
@Daniel, I would not recommend merging the bugs because it's a SRU and
it is going to make the process more difficult, that one has a testcase
which allows verification without needing the gnome-control-center
changes so it can be handled separately
