Bryce, would love to try this but I'm a bit worried that this is a
raring PPA with for example xserver-common 2:1.13.2-0ubuntu3 based

Interestingly, after testing a 3.8.1 kernel, my backlight finally seems

Ok this single problem is solved. But I think not the general one.
What's happen when the next Service or Authentication System have a change?
At the moment the user get only a blank web page with the title "Success" and
have no idea what’s going wrong or what's to do.

This is caused by a certain GL extension, that is enabled but not
availble in the vmwgfx driver. There are patches in the upstream bug to
fix this.

I have tried Ethernet connection at school in "clean infrastructure"
cisco laboratory, so I definitely excluded some sort of inflicting
conditions. Which is also weird because I'm obviously only person
affected. Bug is still present with network-manager version
0.9.7.995+git201301311547.17123fc-0ub
Did a distupgrade for 13.04. The error is now something like (not exact
text) "Gave up after 5 retries. Error 500"
