[Bug 183846] Re: google calendar source does not show all events

2009-05-20 Thread rg
I'm on Ubuntu 9.04 + Evolution 2.26.1. Two days ago I wasn't getting any recurring events synced from my Google calendar. I tried adding as a Google calendar and as an "On The Web" calendar (is that caldav?) Neither was giving me recurring events. Today I was gonna add my two cents to this thread,

[Bug 183846] Re: google calendar source does not show all events

2009-05-20 Thread rg
Oh, and I was wrong about "on the web" being the same as CalDAV. I just tried adding my google calendar using the CalDAV method described by Rich's link above, and it works quite nicely. Evo hung up a bit at first, but recovered on its own, I'm getting recurring events AND I can create events from

This is a problem for me as well. Ubuntu 9.04, Evolution 2.26.1. Add a Google Calendar by any method (google, web, or CalDAV, though I find that CalDAV works the best overall, see bug 183846). Create an event in google's web interface. Once it syncs down to evolution there is no way to have a loca

Slight modification to my previous comment -- after fixing the infamous password issue the behavior is slightly, though not substantially, different. Google calendar synced with CalDAV. 1. Create event in Google web interface, set a "popup" alarm. When event syncs to Evo, the alarm actually does

Same here, sourcecodebrowser plugin worked on 13.04, no longer works on 13.10. When I start gedit from cmdline I get the same error as OP upon attempting to enable the plugin. Seems to be a similar issue with many gedit plugins, but apparently all with different solutions. Many have recommended edi

Yes, same issue after installing via gedit-source-code-browser-plugin (and removing ~/.local/share/gedit/plugins/sourcecodebrowser*). Upon attempting to enable the plugin I get the same error reported by OP. Changing the Loader value in /usr/lib/gedit/plugins/sourcecodebrowser.plugin has all the sa

I'm new around here, but I'm not sure Fix Released is the proper status yet for this bug. I am not the maintainer of this plugin, I've only applied the patch on a fork and submitted a pull request to the maintainer (Quixotix), who I assume will need to merge the change before this fix is "released"

2011-11-16 Thread rg
btw, besides the point of the preferences not working, I would be satisfied with ANY of the following when I receive an IM: a. chat window pops up and steals focus (lots of people don't like this, which is understandable) b. small NON-HIDDEN blinking icon somewhere (some people don't like this, w

These empathy options don't seem to have any effect for me at all. Ubuntu 11.10, Gnome Shell 3.2.1, Empathy 3.2.0.1. "Open chats in separate windows" is checked, "Display incoming events in the notification area" is not checked. Contacts window is open but not focused. Somebody IMs me and the ONLY

This is happening again in 10.04, without Compiz running. Links or web files opened from any app (evolution, terminal, nautilus) open FireFox or Chrome in the background. There seems to be some disagreement about whether that's desirable or not, but many, including myself, want links to open in
