1.10.0-0ubuntu1 and libgphoto2-2 version 2.4.11-3.
I am trying to copy about 7Gb of photos and video clips from a camera
via USB to an external USB HDD using cut/paste in Nautilus. gvfs-gphoto2
consumes about 2Gb of memory (2.6 Gb VIRT and

I wouldn't mind if control-center dropped its own checks and leaves the
strength checking to PAM. There is already cracklib and other PAM
plugins which check password quality for all interfaces (not just
control-center).

I can't reproduce this in oneiric. Can you please give the output of
"dmesg", "udisks --dump", and "udevadm info --export-db" after ripping
out the USB stick?

Also affected by this one after upgrade to oneiric -- not using Unity
interface. Menu is there despite changing default setting and using
gconf-editor to check it is changed. Can manually toggle it but not
persistently turn the menu off.
