Added my apport above, as I'm experiencing the exact same problem with
evince. I've tried printing via samba to two network printers from
evince, both with the same result. CPU load goes up to 100% for a
process called "pdftopdf" (one process for each print job) and print
dialogue says "Bad pattern

fixed. The usual user cannot be told to use xkill Evolution and give it a
second try. Evolution runs into "formatting message" on every first start on my

with this regression. One way is of course to reintroduce the patch
from bug 477755 (not sure if it still applies cleanly). The other

Here too, This issue came up on my computer just after upgrading to Lucid.
Metacity has been working perfectly on this box for years.

I have tried, but no gain. I have even removed it... but still the condition
remains the same. /usr/share/gconf/schemas/virt-manager.schemas this file is
empty..

the only thing I changed is switching from utf8 to iso-8859-1, but i've just
