If you unpack the archive using the menu item folder choosing dialogue box
appears, and there is an option called "replace existing files".
But when using drag & drop the files get overwritten without any
previous warning, and no matter if

This is very similar to bug #454297.
The only difference I have is that nautilus can sometime view some of the files
as well as none of the files.
Also this is for amd64 and not i386.
Do you want me to reproduce and video or are you happy this is
duplicate?

I'm using ATI Radeon Xpress X1250 graphic card. Ubuntu has installed it's own
default drivers for it at the time of Ubuntu installation.

I'm glad to hear that a patch has been prepared, thank you for taking
the time to fix this. It's been a nuisance for as long as I can
remember. In fact, I've given up locking the panel icons because it's
quicker to move them back where I left them if I don't have to unlock

I agree. I spent a few minutes doing this repeatedly because I
misunderstood the behavior. I can't now find the old turn on NTP
servers option which I presumed to find (as it used to be) in the set
time dialog.

I've been using F-Spot on and off for a year to import photos from my
camera and I never realized that it had the ability to do any sort of
editing aside from rotating the image. The reason is that even after
double-clicking a photo in F-Spot, the

I just did some more testing, if the zip file is located locally, this
doesn't happen.
I can replicate it with my original configuration which is the zip file
is located on a remote network share, so the error might occur with
creation of temporary files possibly.
An example of how I'm accessing
I can confirm the same behaviour. I'm using Document Viewer 2.28.1 with
poppler 0.12.0 (cairo). I have ubuntu 9.10 karmic.
I'm not sure if it happens with every PDF, but it definitely happens
with the book scans from my library.

Another possibly related clue is that I cannot open an archive (any
format) on a remote share and then drag files from in that archive to a
remote network share and drop them in. I always have to extract locally
then copy from local into the remote share...
So possibly an issue with How File Rolle
I believe this is the behavior now, at least as of F-Spot 0.6.1.5 on
Ubuntu 9.10
