solve the bug. It's advised not to rant, blame developers, tell why you

Well, I do think this is a rhythmbox bug but I'm confident that upstream will
do nothing about it (as I understood it, they don't support notify-osd).

Also, I've found out that this happens with many other GTK applications,

Seb its not local since the otnly changes i made were adding 2 weather
applets and turning update* off. If you can provide a test case on how
to check this problem than i have to say its high priority. The problem

There is a libwnck issue somewhere, which is the underlying cause of bug
#385220.
There is a workaround for that bug, which was introduced in gnome-panel
1:2.26.0-0ubuntu8.

When I try dragging and dropping a file or folder from File Roller to Nautilus,
all the nautilus windows closed before i release the mouse button. And the
desktop icons disappear too.

I setup my fstab to mount partition in this order: "C-D-F-G". (Using UUID.)
When I open Nautilus itself, it shows up as "C-D-F-G", which is correct.
But when I "Open" or "Save" a file, and the File Dialog shows up, the Sort
Order is different,
