I vote for a new icon only. Two Alt+PrtScr and 15mins in GIMP resulted
in the attachment here. The final icon should be less theme-like (say

Dudes, I've found the root of this problems for my PC. Probably, this
should help you.
For me that vino remote desktop server was loading gconfd. Trick that
fixes problem is to kill vino-server after GNOME login.
pkill -9 vino-server
Then, it resurrects back but stops flooding gconfd.

I have solved my problem. I installed a package called DeVeDe through
synaptic package manager which encodes the movie to an ISO file, and
then I burn it with K3b. This works for me.
However the original problem with bresaro is still there, I just found
another way to do the same thing.

I've the same problem. Using Jaunty on an HP530c (p4-2.66). I upgraded
to Jaunty about a month ago yet this problem only just cropped up. It
happens any time the computer is left alone for a couple of minutes -
very annoying. Power manager is set to 'never' put screen to sleep.

I believe that statement is not entirely correct, because if you change
the font hinting in Appearance Preferences, FF 3.5 and Skype etc do not
change, even after restarting. You need to manually modify the

Reproduced on Xfce 4.4 on Intrepid (I have absolutely no clue if this
has been fixed in Jaunty). I have actually found out how to prevent Xfce
from using the motherboard speaker, but it does not work.

Removing metacity means that there won't be any window manager any more,
i. e. the window for setting accessibility, etc. don't have any
decorations. Also, I get a never-ending waiting mouse cursor, probably
due to gnome-session waiting for the window manager to appear.
