Rhythmbox reports this is a problem in the GStreamer 'decodebin' module.
Rhythmbox is planning to switch to 'decodebin2' which does not have this
problem.

The Red Hat bug is somewhat different as I believe they keep more old
kernels around than Ubuntu. A broken resume from hibernate rarely
results in complete data loss as the kernel buffers are usually flushed
before the computer is hibernated. It's about as bad as doing as
resetting after having run

I used Aldrin's advice from bug 367309 and that actually fixes my
problem with the bizarre brightness settings (I have yet to long-term-
test if the flashes go away as well). You type
xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL combination
and the brightness behavior is completely normal again.

gst-fluendo-mpegdemux should be responsible for decoding the stream. But
in Jaunty, fluendo-mpegdemux conflicts with gst-plugins-bad (universe)

all of them where I had this specific issue it was because in one of my
sourced SETUP.bash (in .bashrc on the remote server) there was an echo

I have the same problem with an ACER 7720-6374. I cannot control
brightness using FN + arrow keys since upgrading to Jaunty (brightness
just goes up and down erraticly). It works fine through the Power
Manager Brightness Applet. Also works fine using FN + arrow keys if I
kill gnome-power-manager.
As described, this is the default graphics device included on the motherboard
of an eMachines T2824. According to the specifications at

, this is "Intel® Extreme Graphics 3D / 64MB Shared memory".

This bug is not closed. It's not related to alarm-clock, sabby, it's
related to Python. It's not fixed. Upgrading alarm-clock will not
prevent the same thing from happening when you run strace, for instance.
To say that a "Virus is an application that forces computer not to work
properly" is false

It does seem that alarm clock triggers the bug. If there any disagreement that
