My only problem is that i wasn't able to reproduce this bug, but I'm using a
different version on my 8.10 machine
GNOME brasero 0.8.2
and I'm not shure how you got your version :-)
But anyway this issue isn't present in 9.04 (Brasero Version: 2.25.91)

On Jaunty with notify-osd installed, if I click "leave message" two
abnormal things (which are related) happen:-
1) I am briefly shown my own desktop, which should not happen when the
screensaver is locked.
2) I get a popup notify box

problem seems confined to evolution. When evolution is launched from

to keep going, you need to get a backtrace when it's crashing or hanging

Yes they have right, this patch not destroy old engine.
But probably I found the problem. I noticed that the daemon crash when the
function "destroy_engine" it is call from "gtk_widget_destroy" in function
"_notify_timeout_destroy".
If you comment the "g_module_close(engine->module)" in "dest
I confirm that repeating events do not show up. Neither do they show up
in evolution when created via the Google website, nor am I able to
create a repeating event in a google calendar via evolution. They either
disappear completely after pressing "save", or they are created as non-
repeating.
