Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

When pressing the Fn+Home key combination on my lenovo Thinkpad T61
after resuming from standby, backlight changes take approx. 1-2 seconds
to apply. The GNOME brightness osd appears.

Using the command
echo 'up' > /proc/acpi/ibm/brightness
works flawless (changes immediately).

I was yet unable to figure out, which routine is called, when the key is
pressed, calling /etc/acpi/thinkpad-brightness-up/down.sh does not have
any affect.

** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
