Booting back in 2.6.27-7-generic works fine.

I can confirm that the described workaround works for me!
You have first to turn Assistive Technologies off, logoff & logon.
Then nautilus works fast as expected even with thousands file and also
over SFTP!

I was still having the same problem in Intrepid, but it seems to
remember the settings after I turned off visualization, saved, closed,
restarted totem, then chose visualizations using monoscope and saved
again. So far it has worked the last few days.

I'm having odd behavior with 2.24.2. I've tried setting the gconf pref
both ways and it appears to have no effect -- the menu keys and the
shortcuts all get swallowed by vinagre and not passed on.
However, if I work in full screen mode, my problems are solved --
vinagre doesn't intercept a thing (

ok this is seriously fucked up.
I just plugged in an old ps2 keyboard. i pressed the numlock key(on the
ps2) and now both numpads work.
This is a clean install. I will restart and report back. tomarrow
but...
apparently plugging in an old ps2 keyboard and pressin
the usb keyboard does not control the numlock state. only the ps2.

I have a network attached Lexmark Optra R+ printer. I have configured this
using CUPS as the default printer.
Other apps eg Firefox, gedit, openoffice etc. can print to this printer fine.
Test pages work OK.
When I try to print a PDF from Evince
Mine has only ever been headless or with a P/S2 keyboard and has still
suffered from this issue, as mentioned above, so I think the USB thing
may be an additional (related) bug.

As of today's Jaunty updates, I'm getting one additional suspend
cycle, and after coming back from suspend I experienced this behaviour
which I'm assuming is related:
After pressing Fn a second time to wake up, I got the gnome screen
lock dialog. I tried to type into it but I didn't see anything

The 'disable touchpad' key currently doesn't work with acpi-support
because it relies on the obsolete synclient command. The right command
to toggle touchpads in 8.10 and above is xinput:

Isn't the applet you are referring to called gnome-volume-control (as of
Intrepid, in package gnome-media)? That's the applet I get when I

Adding insult to injury, the big friendly Help button in the lower left
corner of gnome-volume-control brings up a friendly "Unable to load
page" -- "The requested URI "ghelp:///gnome-volume-control" is invalid"
error message. This will apparently be fixed in Jaunty (LP bug
#259945).
