On a system upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10:
Using any screensaver (gnome-screensaver ot xscreensaver) screen saver starts
OK, and can be stopped within a few minutes. If I only get back to my desktop a
couple of hours later, either mouse movement or keyboard action stops screen
saver, and I am left
If I might change the status of this bug report once again to new, and offer
that it affects me also. There is a considerable amount of my media which
affected by this bug. An example that I have found online is:

I note that having fluendo-mp3 installed or not does not change this
behaviour.
There are SOME wave files which are also affected, though I do not have
any example to provide here.

I just found out what probably causes it for me. This is silly. and slightly
embarassing.
In keyboard preferences > layouts > kb layout options > caps lock key
behaviour
I had caps lock behavior set to "caps lock toggles Shift so all keys are
affected".
This is not the default setting (althoug

I haven't specific program i think or system configuration. The ATI driver is
the free radeon driver. I don't install the non-free driver because the free
driver work very fine on intrepid (very good news). Perhaps this is the drive

Able to select the number 3, however press SHIFT 3 does not produce a UK pound
sign only the number 3.

Binary package hint: nautilus
When I press the eject button on the DVD drive OR when I eject via
Nautilus , the dvd is unmounted and tray opened correctly. The problem
is, that the tray starts to pull in (close) immediately after it has
opened to full extent. Meaning, I need

Hehe, after looking at the backtrace, I tested removing the package
gstreamer-0.10-pulseaudio and problem disappeared. Totem no longer
freezes for a few seconds while loading under no internet condition. I
guess the issue is actually in the gstreamer pulseaudio package and not
totem. Or maybe it is
