Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When I press the eject button on the DVD drive OR when I eject via
Nautilus , the dvd is unmounted and tray opened correctly. The problem
is, that the tray starts to pull in (close) immediately after it has
opened to full extent. Meaning, I need to grab the disc quite quickly
:-)

When the tray closes, it remounts the disc.

The drive is a pretty standard SATA DVD drive (attached to SATA as well,
no IDE).

Didn't have this problem in 8.04, manifested itself with 8.10.

If you need like dbus logs or something, tell me what stuff to print
out.
