You have been subscribed to a public bug: Steps to reproduce:
right click on any folder, choose properties, tab "Share". enable "Share this folder" -> samba gets installed if it is not. under "Share name" delete the given name -> the field becomes RED and there is a message displayed "The share name cannot be empty" ok. Now start typing a new name -> expected behaviour: with the first letter the background should become white agani and the warning message should go away. -> what is fact: the red background stays DESPITE the name is given. Screenshot included. It works when you click on "Modify Share" - but even confused ME as an experienced Ubuntu user - I don't know what my mom would do then... ;-) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- folder sharing - share name = empty despite given name https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293601 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
