I'm having the same/similar issue. Using the xfade backend makes
navigating impossible. If I move the slider, the song will often stop
(while the slider can still be moved, having no effect), or rhythmbox

desktop. In windows the issues are so bad and widespread that its easy
to google how to turn them off while in ubuntu they are only now

I originally reported this bug against seahorse, since it appears as
argument to ssh-agent in the processes list.
I'd like to correct the testcase. Although it happened that seahorse
died when I decided to post the bug, I cannot reproduce it, therefore

I've the same problem, but as I can remember it only occurs if the
system language is set to english(US States).

Running g-p-m in debug mode for a bit showed that it is tracking the battery
level ok, and the left-click menu gets it right. It seems to be the icon and

The version of pygtk included with the latest ubuntu 8.10 alpha (6)
breaks the way gtk.ImageMenuItem's get_children function works. Instead
of returning gtk.Image and gtk.AccelLabel objects it simply returns the
gtk.AccelLabel.

I gave a false alarm on a duplicate report, because I said that action
on critical battery is not performed after suspend. That was due on "use
time for policy" being set and the time being a bit wrong. Using

Thanks for investigating further. It seems that what is happening
is the selecting one of the pre-defined profiles, in this case "Extra"
overwrites your compiz preferences.
I thought I had seen bugs about this before, but I can't find them
right now. Anyway, I reassign to gnome-control-center
I never had this issue in Hardy, even if I enabled Hardy proposed in
order to fix another bug. I agree it's not a samba issue since smbclient
works fine.
