but im sorry to say that i'm now using a backport of TB2 so i can't do
any more testing...
good news is it looks better for TB2. if i find bugs i'll report them

I'm sorry - I am being confusing...
I didn't check the bug properly before replying...
But I just clicked save on a single attachment in Evolution (IMAP
offline) and the file-dialog which came up contained no filename in the
textbox and the save-button did not respond unless i typed a name in...
its very strange that we should experience differences in this
behaviour. my install is default...
1, i use IMAP and click on an email in Thunderbird (standard feisty i.e.
1.5x) with multiple attachments.
2, a gnome file dialog opens with buttons cancel and open...it opens
with the last directory
im sorry - i understand now what you mean...start the gui from the
terminal...

on and off during feisty over the last month my power button has been
shutting the laptop (acer 1644) directly without even asking me. some
updates fix it and then it happens again. right now powerbutton causes
direct shutdown - dont want to do it now but ill send output when can...

actually - sorry to say. i have this problem still and im on feisty.
after every resume from suspend the logout dialog is active and i have to
cancel. frequently im also told that suspend failed but thats a different bug i
guess. if this is hardware related im on acer 1640. maybe i should start
ok - no point in keeping this open. probably i shouldnt have filed this.

after the latest update as of yesterday the wastebasket shows no files
although i have check that .Trash does contain files. i tried deleting
.Trash and sending some fresh files to wastebasket thereby creating it
again. still when i click on applet on enter through nautilus it
i suppose this bug-report was a result of my stupidity...the internet
was down when this happened...only discovered recently when i was
actually without internet...

it was a problem with users...
i had a user called hal but none called haldaemon...
deleting the user hal and forcing a re-install of hal solved it - the
user haldaemon was automatically created...
seems like something which could easily be fixed...

everything was fine at first but when i installed fuse and began keeping
my $HOME encrypted with encfs same problem as above occurred.

i grab the "slider grip" (i assume you mean the handle which moves along the
slider) but dont move it.
this is when - despite me not having moved it - the movie jumps roughly two
minutes ahead.
its easiest for you just too try using the "

anyhow - it seems to be a totem bug since xine does not do this.
it does happen with all video media ive tried (mpeg and dvd).
