Same problem here, when in the shell executing:
nautilus -q && nautilus --no-desktop
nautilus will spawn indefinitely. This can be stopped with executing
'nautilus -q'. The previous command is important, as it is used to debug
extensions for nautilus, the command will allow to capture the outpu

My acer aspire one netbook has 2 sd-slots. 1 of those sd-slot always
contains a sd-card and is mounted as /home//Documents. When
browsing that directory the bars are always visible.
And they DO take too much screen space, especially when more than one
program is listed (music And images = 1 line f

I am not sure if this is relevant, however one Nautilus change I think
would be very useful would be to have as default the opening of folders
in a new tab when you double-click.
Of course you would still have the option of just viewing the files in
the current tab by clicking on the triangle/arro
I agree that cut, copy, paste & delete is what you do in a file browser
a lot of the time, and so is very useful.
I know a lot of you use the keyboard shortcuts, but usually when I am

When I send an email with an attachment, Evolution starts by saying: 0%
sent. But that percentage never changes. It says 0% sent for several

This bug was due to a corrupt /usr/share/icons/gnome/icon-theme.cache,
and not due to missing artwork (like #62064 and #65880)

My humble guess is that the "broken" icon-theme.cache I attached belongs
to the previous (dapper) version of gnome-icon-theme, and that it

Apologies, i DO still have a backup of the broken file, attached.
"sudo cp icon-theme.cache.broken /usr/share/icons/gnome/icon-
theme.cache" breaks gedit again, and "sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f
/usr/share/icons/gnome/" fixes it.
Currently, gnome-icon-theme 2.16.0.1-0ubuntu2 is installed on my

of all icon-theme.cache files in subdirectories of /usr/share/icons
before trying the workaround I posted, so the maintainers have access to
the "corrupt" versions of those files for debugging.
