Just to make sure, I'll provide my steps to reproduce; if nobody else

(2) Note that alt+tab doesn't work, and gnome-screensaver's dialog has the focus
(3) Hold down super,
UPDATE: It only seems to work when freshly logged in, lock screen, then
ALT+TAB without triggering the lock screen dialog. After unlocking once,
further relocking does not allow the escape. It seems to be a fix, but
still with some fringe cases unresolved?

If you start Xgl as a session (rather than having GDM hosted on Xgl), X cookies
are not forwarded by default. Make sure your Xgl starter script contains two
lines like:

I'm experiencing this too since 20070220 Feisty daily updates, VTE and X
client (1.2.0?) updates were pulled in. Scrolling in terminals is
significantly slower and also it seems like Beryl glitches after that
update too
I will later today try rolling back updates and trying to isolate a
culprit.
I'm sorry -- it appears like gnome-mount only pops up notify bubbles
when media has unflushed data well IMO this deserves another bug
ticket, but this one is closed.

On our laptops yes, but previous versions had incorrect battery
reporting on many other laptops, too. The fix, a corrected metric unit
conversion, unfortunately breaks our laptops but also fixes the other
ones.

On Edgy, I am also seeing this with AVI's. To reproduce, use Acidrip to
rip something to an AVI (default settings are fine, 1-pass is faster).
Have Nautilus go into the directory where the AVI is being outputted.
Press refresh a few times, then close the nautilus window, then close
acidrip. Now nau
NOT fixed for me, dist-upgraded also. I have no idea where you're
getting your gnome-power-manager, but I have 2.16.0-0ubuntu3, and
Launchpad agrees with me that this is the latest release. Edgy-changes
also does not show anything newer.

On a related note, I've set via the mixer preferences to track and
control Front instead of PCM. Now, the tray applet correctly changes
Front instead of PCM. However, the laptop's volume hotkeys still change
PCM. This behavior is very inconsistent and looks to me like a bug.

I was able to recreate this on another machine by installing a kubuntu
knot2 livecd, then installing upstart + upstart-compat-sysv, then dist-
upgrading.
As a result, I'm marking upstart as affected. I will investigate further
to see if upstart is really involved, but it looks like a suspect right

Another confirmation on another edgy box -- after the latest dist-
upgrade it broke hal in the same way. Only this time, the packages
upgraded were upstart and upstart-compat-sysv.
Could this be upstart related?
I reverted from upstart to sysvinit, but it did NOT resolve the problem.

Backports team can only select packages in Edgy, but 2.7 is an unstable
release that I do not feel comfortable pulling into Edgy.
As a result, I'm going to reject this from the Backports side The
mentioned bug should be fixed via dapper-updates.

I'm not saying that it requires a backport of an unstable version; I'm just
saying that if by chance using dapper-updates to backport that patch does
not work, we can now accomplish the same task via the dapper-backports
manual upload mechanism. Just another failover for this pesky bug :)

think you can have a version of Totem any more unstable on my two 1280x800
machines than this! :)
