Title:

My case i a bit different. I also have always had p to open Pidgin.
Recently I added Pidgin PPA to the repositories and the shortcut stopped
working.
If I assign a different shortcut like o then it works and Pidgin opens,
if I assign a different program to p it also works!
This is very strange.
Right so not much has been done on the bugzilla report for what I can
see... anyone figured out a workaround? Other than a script that
loops...
Thanks!

Thanks Jamie. That makes sense. I'll see if there is an apparmor bug

Any ideas?

Jason - can you elaborate more?
What do you mean under Gnome menu? Under applications?
When you say 'put that folder into my toolbar', do you mean into the panel?
Thanks!

My 'workaround' at the moment is to do
gconftool-2 -s /apps/gnome-screensaver/idle_activation_enabled --type=bool false
before watching a movie and then doing
gconftool-2 -s /apps/gnome-screensaver/idle_activation_enabled --type=bool true
when I'm done.
Anyone has come with something better?

The workaround I posted before still needs to be applied to 9.10. With a
small difference:

Obviously we are all very annoyed by this and it looks like it won't be
fixed. So... has anyone found an alternative?

I confirm this on 9.04 as well. Very annoying. If I have to choose
between compiz and drawer I stick with compiz and ditch the drawer.
Which is a shame as it is a very nice and useful feature when it works.

Here is a workaround.
~$ gconf-editor
Go to:
/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen0/prefs/cities and edit the key.
On the 'Edit Key' window you will see values for your cities, select the one
you want to change and click 'Edit'.
Here is a before and after example of my string.

So this is a bug right? Regression.
Or was this feature purposely removed by the developers?
