Sorry to be harsh but #2 is a lame cop-out. This wouldn't cause feature
overlap with Evolution at all, since running Evolution just for mail
notifications currently necessitates running dirty hacks like alltray
and also requires running the entire evolution process in the

If I delete a message it stays in the folder I delete it in. If I turn
hide deleted messages off it will show a bunch of strike through
messages in my "in" folder. If I move a message from one folder it will
delete from the folder I am moving
This bug has never been properly fixed and is still not fixed in the
maverick packages even now.
