This does not seem to me a compiz-related issue, as keybord shorcuts are
completely unset after reboot; they work, even with compiz, but oblidge
me to re-enter them every time I reboot. If compiz was the problem,
keyboard shortcuts won't work at all...

GDM login screen has changed to a default one, one with user list, without
noticing me about the change.
I tried to revert back to mine (I was using a random selection in login
screens), but discovered that the login preferences menu is no longer available
in System -> Admi
I am setting this to invalid because I noticed that, when I tried to update my
system, I had a previous dpkg interrupted.
After "dpkg ---configure -a", "apt-get update" and "apt-get dist-upgrade", when
I restarted X, my theme was back to normal and I was able to change window
borders.
